Ruth Eichenseher was born 1997 in Friedberg in Germany. She began taking cello lessons at the age of seven. 2007 she started visiting the Gymnasium bei St. Stephan in Augsburg, one of the best Highscools promoting classical music in Germany. At the age of twelve she first performed with Orchestra in Augsburg, furthermore she performed as a soloist in Prag and Budapest, Roccastrada, Boston and Michigan (with the Elgar cello concerto and Tschaikowskys Rokoko-Variatons). At the age of fourteen she became a Pre-College student in the class of Prof. Markus Wagner at the University of Music in Nürnberg. She got prizes in competitions as a soloist as well as in chamber music. Since 2015 she is studying in the class of Prof. Orfeo Mandozzi at the University of Music in Würzburg and in October she will start studying at the Zurich University of Arts.
