Solo Intensive Program

Supporting materials should include:

A professional-quality recording (max. 20 minutes)
A brief resume detailing musical education, conservatories attended, teachers, degrees, diplomas, competition awards, and festival participation
Two reference letters from recent teachers, including contact details
A detailed repertoire list (solo and chamber works) with pieces
studied and performed publicly

One movement by J.S. Bach
One movement from a concerto
One virtuoso piece

PIANO

One movement from the Baroque period
One etude
One movement from a Classical sonata or major Romantic work

Chamber Intensive Program

Supporting materials should include:

A professional-quality recording (max. 20 minutes)
A brief resume of the quartet detailing musical education, conservatories attended, teachers, degrees, diplomas, competition awards, and festival participation
Two reference letters from recent teachers, including contact details
A detailed repertoire list (chamber works) with pieces studied and performed publicly

Supporting materials should include:

Two recent recordings of chamber works you wish to perform at the festival, made after 2023. One of these works will be selected for performance.

We will choose one of the two works for performance.

APPLICATION FORM

Deadline: April 15th, 2025 for all applicants

Registration fee: 150 EUR for the Solo Intensive Program and for each member of chamber groups in the Chamber Intensive Program. All chamber group members must pay 150 EUR individually. Bank transfer fees are the responsibility of the applicant, and shared charges are not accepted.

Note: The registration fee does not count toward the tuition fee. It covers the cost of the registration process.

ACCEPTANCE

The applicants will be invited to submit solo and chamber performance requests to the Artistic Director festival no later than May 15th, 2025 upon receipt of all application materials to casalmaggioremusic@gmail.com.

MEDIA AND PARTICIPATION RELEASE AGREEMENT

The educational and training activities of the Association “Friends of the Casalmaggiore International Festival” are exclusive to its members. Students enrolled in the “Casalmaggiore International Festival” automatically become legal members of the Association.
By submitting the application form, the candidate agrees to the following:

To allow the recording and publication of my performances during the festival on the website. If I wish to request removal, I will notify the Artistic Director within 24 hours after the performance.
To participate in two (2) orchestra concerts, with additional participation possible upon mutual agreement with the Artistic Director.
To serve as a stage manager for concerts.

PAYMENT OF THE BOARDING & TUITION FEE

Solo Intensive Program

Deadline: May 15th, 2025 for all applicants. Please note that payments made after May 15th will be subject to a late fee of 100 EUR.

WHOLE PERIOD: 2.500 EUR (lessons from July 5th to July 23rd)
recommended arrival at Casalmaggiore on July 4th – departure from Casalmaggiore on July 24th

FIRST HALF PERIOD: 1.300 EUR (lessons from July 5th to July 13th)
recommended arrival at Casalmaggiore on July 4th – departure from Casalmaggiore on the morning July 14th

SECOND HALF PERIOD: 1.300 EUR (lessons from July 15th to July 23rd)
recommended arrival at Casalmaggiore not earlier than afternoon of July 14th – departure from Casalmaggiore on July 24th

The fee includes tuition, room accommodation at “Istituto Santa Chiara” in Casalmaggiore, daily breakfast, lunch, and dinner (excluding weekends) and administration fees.

Students under 16 years old will only be accepted if accompanied by a parent. In this case, the applicant is responsible for arranging their own accommodation in one of the city’s hotels or B&Bs (click here for options). Accommodation costs are the responsibility of the participant. The tuition fee for this arrangement is 2.200 EUR for the entire period and 1.200 EUR for the half period. This fee covers daily breakfast, meals (excluding weekends), and administration fees for each student. Airfare and travel arrangements are also the participant’s responsibility.

Bank transfer fees must be paid by the applicant, and shared charges cannot be accepted.

Chamber Intensive Program

Deadline: May 15th, 2025 for all applicants. Please note that payments made after May 15th will be subject to a late fee of 100 EUR.

FIRST HALF PERIOD: 950 EUR for each member of the Trio/Quartet
(lessons from July 5th to July 13th) recommended arrival at Casalmaggiore on July 4th – departure from Casalmaggiore on the morning July 14th

SECOND HALF PERIOD: 950 EUR for each member of the Trio/Quartet (lessons from
July 14th to July 23rd) recommended arrival at Casalmaggiore not earlier than afternoon of July 14th – departure from Casalmaggiore on July 24th

SCHOLARSHIPS

There will be no financial aid offered. A number of scholarships will be awarded based upon
the quality of talent, as exhibited on the application recordings.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Tuition fees are non-refundable if a student cancels after June 20th, 2025. Cancellations made before June 1, 2025, will receive a full refund of the tuition. Cancellations between June 1 and June 20, 2025, will receive a 50% refund. The 150 EUR application fee is non-refundable in all cases.

If the festival should not be in a position to provide a reasonable alternative to a students first choice of teacher, the festival may offer to retain the fees for a future year or consider a full refund.

The festival will also consider a full refund only if a proven medical emergency occurs or if the festival cancels.

INFORMATION

to participate in 2 special event concerts which involve large ensembles. Further participation is possible if mutually agreed upon with the Artistic Director.
to serve as Stage Manager, which may be page turning, for 2 concert events. Appropriate dress attire is required.

esclusivamente ai propri soci. Gli studenti iscritti al “Casalmaggiore International Festival” sono pertanto soci
dell’Associazione “Amici del Casalmaggiore International Festival”.
Inviando la domanda di iscrizione il candidato concorda su quanto segue:

permettere la ripresa audio e video e la pubblicazione sul web dei propri concerti effettuati durante il Festival. L’eventuale richiesta di rimozione dovrà pervenire al Direttore artistico entro 24 ore dall’esibizione.
partecipare a 2 concerti speciali con ampi gruppi strumentali. La partecipazione ad ulteriori concerti, se possibile, potrà essere concordata col Direttore Artistico.
prestare la propria collaborazione come stage manager, con eventuale mansione di voltapagine, nel corso di 2 concerti. È richiesto un abbigliamento adeguato.
