Hongfei LYU

Hongfei Lyu was born on July 3rd,2001 in Qingdao,China and began playing the violin with Prof.Zhang Xiangrong at the age of 5.When she was 12 years old,she attended the middle school attached China Conservatory of music in Beijing and studyed with Prof.Fang Yuan. In 2015,she moved to Vienna to study with Prof.Taras Gabora and Prof.Lucia Hall at the J.S.Bach Musikschule Wien.She has performed many times and given two recitals in Vienna,including Bach Partita No.3,Vieuxtemps Rondino,and his concerto No.4,Brahms Sonata No.2,Beethoven Sonata No.7,Ravel Tzigane,etc.. In July 2015,she went to the 19th Casalmaggiore International music festival in Italy and got the “Gobora Prize” for “outstanding specific performance”.In August,she went to the Wasserburg International Music Festival in Germany and performed many concerts as Soloist with the Qingdao Youth Orchestra,including Mozart concerto No.3 and Sarasate Zigeunerweisen.In February 2016,she got the second prize at the 9th Arthur Grumiaux International Competition for young violinists in Namur,Belgium. Hongfei plays on an violin made by Matin Stoss provided by a chinese sponsor.
