Born in 1990 in Cannes (France), Aurore MONTAULIEU started her musical studies at the age of 4. She obtained the diploma of her hometown music school at 15 and, a few years later, of the Prince Rainier III Music Academy in Monaco. She graduated this year from the Pôle Supérieur of Paris-Boulogne-Billancourt in Hélène DAUTRY’s class.
She had the opportunity to play at many masterclasses, where she received advice from great musicians as H. DEMARQUETTE, A. GASTINEL, F. HELMERSON, G. HOFFMAN, J. PERNOO, R. PIDOUX, P. WILPELWAY and D. GERINGAS, during the BSI Monaco Music Master in 2010.
From a very early age, she integrated the PACA Orchester’s Academy (conducted by Ph. BENDER) and later the Mediterranean Youth Orchestra as principal cello, where she accompagned famous soloists (O. Charlier, L. Korcia, T. Amadi, MJ Jude, JF Heisser, B. Rigutto, R. Muraro).
In 2012 she joined the Ochestre de Paris’ academy (conducted by C. Eschenbach, P. Jarvi and K. Jarvi).
Aurore MONTAULIEU plays chamber music as well, and performes in sonata, trio or quatuor. She played for the 150th anniversary of the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, the “Cercle Musical de Cannes”, the “Musique au Coeur de l’Estérel” and in foreign countries (Abano in Italy, Geneva in Switzerland…). She also plays at private concerts.
She regularly plays as a soloist with the Azurean Symphonic Orchestra and the Monte-Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra. She performed this year at the prestigious Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, accompanied by the CRR de Paris’ Symphonic Orchestra.
