Tony Lee – Australia

Tony Lee was born in Sydney and has performed in countries including New Zealand, China, England, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Russia, USA and Australia.
He is currently completing his BMus in Performance at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with Dr. Paul Rickard-Ford. He is a prizewinner of numerous National & International Competitions, most notably:

Grand Prix & special prize – Louise Henriette International Piano Competition, 3rd Prize – 8th Adila Alieva International Piano Competition, 1st Prize – 13th Scriabin International Piano Competition, Top prize – Australian Youth National Music Competition, Top prize – Sydney Conservatorium Chopin Competition, Top Prize – Conservatorium Concerto Competition and winner of the Mary Greville & Bert Coughtrey Award and National John Alison Award amongst others.

Professional training began in 2004 at the Australian Institute of Music under Prof. V. Makarov , A. Koltakov & K. Makarova. He furthered studies at the Australian National Academy of Music and also at the Central Music School of the Tchaikovsky Conservatory in Moscow, where he studied with Prof. A. Ryabov.

Performances followed in prestigious halls of various cities and also at the Kremlin Palace. He has appeared as soloist with the Samara Philharmonic, Tasmanian Symphony, Moscow CMS Philharmonic, Sydney Conservatorium Symphony and local orchestras such as the Beecroft Symphony, Mosman Symphony and the Ku-Ring-Gai Philharmonic.
