Royce has been studying violin since the age of 5 and currently studies with Professor Taras Gabora. This year will be his second visit to Casalmaggiore, the first having been in 2012.  He has performed at various festivals including Germany, Italy, Michigan and New York and has enjoyed performing for Midori, Itzhak Perlman, and Aaron Rosand. Royce’s repertoire includes 17 concertos of which 11 are complete; the complete set of Bach’s 6 sonatas and partitas, 14 Paganini Caprices as well as 12 violin sonatas.   He has been soloist with the Mozart Concerto No.1, Vivaldi Summer Concerto and the Bach Double Concerto.  In February 2015 Royce performed the Sibelius Violin Concerto with the Vancouver Youth Symphony Orchestra.  Aside from his love for music, Royce enjoys spending time indoors and outdoors with family and friends, attending concerts, cooking and volunteering his time and talents at local carehomes and youth outreach programs.
